Hershey NE KOA11 Lickdale Rd, November 7, Pass. Assorted foods were kept at 44°F, in the cold room, rather than 41°F or lower, as needed. The only food in the cooler at the time of the inspection was milk (45°F acceptable) and shredded cheese which should be 41°F or less as needed. It will be voluntarily rejected. The refrigeration unit will be assessed and serviced as needed, and the results will be emailed to the inspector. Trash and debris under and around equipment and shelves. Hood edges and fire extinguisher heads are not wiped clean allowing for potential contamination while cooking. Assorted containers contained food residue and were not clean to sight and touch. Meat slicer poorly cleaned after use. Ice machines are not cleaned at a frequency to prevent the presence of mold. Mouse droppings observed at several locations upstairs and downstairs of the facility indicating rodent activity.

Lebanon City

The Aegean Table, 849 Oak St, Nov. 9, Pass. A container of food lids was observed to contain a small amount of debris. Corrected.

Sydney Roasting Co., 720 Quentin Rd, Nov. 9, Pass. An item has passed the expiration date. Discarded. Mops are not hung to air dry. Food utensils observed in the handwashing sink, indicating uses other than handwashing. Deleted.

Palmyra Bowling, 1218 Main St., Nov. 9, Pass. Observed food workers in the preparation area not wearing appropriate hair restraints such as hairnets, hats or beard covers. Assorted food containers on the drying racks were observed to contain food residue and not clean to see and touch. Items were removed and washed again. Clean food equipment and/or utensils observed in the area, stored damp in a manner that does not allow for dripping and/or air drying (wet nesting).

Arrondissement of Palmyra

Palmyra VFW Memorial Post, 232 E Main St, Nov. 7, Pass. The food establishment does not frequently remove dead or trapped pests from the control devices, as evidenced by the observation of an old mouse in the pest control devices in the back area.

World War Memorial Association, 975 E Main St, Nov. 7, Pass. Assorted containers were observed on the storage shelf to have food residue and were not clean to see and touch. Non-food contact surfaces such as shelves and equipment are not cleaned with sufficient frequency to prevent buildup of dirt and soil.
