The first layer of defense is the washable fabric prefilter that traps large particles, while the activated carbon layer is what traps odors (whether they come from mold, cooking, or pets). The air purifier can be placed almost anywhere in the room as it filters in all directions and it has only one button, so it is very easy to use.
Keep in mind: Some reviewers experienced unpleasant plastic-like odors during the first few days of use. “This smell disappeared after a few days, so don’t let that stop you from trying this device,” one person wrote.
